Donald Calvanese has been a writer for practically his whole life. Creating lyrics and music since he was a pre-teen.
Transforming his guitar playing into a fiction writer, he became inspired to write the Carcium Trilogy after watching several fantasy and adventure movies with his daughter and recalling his early dreams of dark, mysterious kingdoms with evil knights, dragons and colorful elves.
Now being transformed into a screen play, “Carcium – The Conflict Begins” is the first of three books Donald has written about the fantasy land of Phygeria and the struggle of the Kingdom of Carcium for freedom under Prince Troy’s governance.
For over 20 years, Donald has been a successful entrepreneur, restaurant owner and entertainment industry professional. He was raised in Longmeadow. He has supported and actively participated with a variety of nonprofit organizations including the Military To Medicine program and the library at Saint Mary's Academy. Donald resides in Feeding Hills, MA with his wife and daughter.
